The story of our home

The New Shed

We have a block of sheds that, apart from being hideous, are quite dilapidated.

Although they’re water-tight, the roof isnt high enough, the walls are cracked and crumbling and they arent particularly secure (tools are constantly being “liberated” by night-visitors!)

So we thought it was about time to address that. The only problem was that they were FULL of stuff. Garden tools, lawn mowers, chemicals, swimming pool equipment, paint, antique furniture awaiting restoration and most notably … hundreds of workshop tools and spare parts!

The plan was to build a new shed with a small veranda for the garden tools and then use that whilst the old sheds were being renovated. And this is how it went…

It definitely needs a gutter and a some paint touchups, but generally its great! Neat (the “junk” on the veranda is going to the new box room once thats completed in the next few weeks) secure, fit for purpose and best of all.. cheap.
